Throwback Comeback: Bridal Wardrobe Change Tradition Revived!

An old tradition has resurfaced recently, which is a bridal wardrobe change between the wedding and reception!  From Carrie Underwood to Chelsea Clinton, and then more recently, Kate Middleton, it's officially been brought BACK!

Some brides would read this and wonder why, after searching through and trying on countless dresses and finding THE ONE, would you want to take it off any sooner than you have to?

The simple truth usually falls on one of two reasons; either the bride wants to debut a 2nd look for the reception for glamour's sake, or for practicality.  Most wedding dresses aren't exactly the most comfortable party-wear.  Let's face it, even if you bustle that cathedral length train, the diameter of the dress still makes it hard to dance and the corset will not allow you to sit comfortably and just may cut your air supply if you try to breathe deep while cuttin' a rug on the dance floor.  So, that's reason enough to search for a 2nd look to be fresh at the reception AND comfortable.

Suggestion:  In the 10 minutes you take to change your dress, bring your wedding day team to help you get fresh!  You need a few people just for the dress change, have your make-up artist re-touch your makeup, and consider having your wedding day hairstylist sweep those draped curls into a simple classy updo, or vary your hairstyle from what it was at the wedding.  No hour-long transformation, but just bring in a team that can quickly add a fresh touch that will complete your 2nd look with the kind of excellence that your 1st look debuted with!
