Mix It Up: Why You Don’t Need To Feel Married To One Pattern Or Idea!

A recent trend in weddings is to draw the appeal, less by how perfectly symmetrical and flowing each detail is; but in mixing and matching.  For example, instead of all big circle tables or all long tables, mixing and matching table shapes and sizes.

Maybe you have your colors, but are trying to switch things up to keep it from looking too rigid:  Try using different textures and patterns in your décor.  You may be surprised at how beautiful your display is when you mix it up and go outside of matching every little detail.

There’s something to be said for unpredictable combinations, whether you’re mixing polka dots and stripes or solids, damasks, and argyle, or beautiful tea-room style vintage china.  Your boldness to use patterns together that no one else thought of looks creative, while also fashion forward and sometimes even regal.  Don’t be afraid to experiment, until you find what you LOVE.  The combination may lead to an aesthetic that you love exponentially more than the pattern or idea you started out with!
