Tech Savvy Brides: Carry All You Need In The Palm Of Your Hand!

To all of you brides who have carried the ever-expanding bridal binder with you to be on top of the Wedding Planning game, we have breaking news:  It's no longer necessary to strain your back, stretch out that purse of yours, or frantically flip through pages to find what you need when you need it.  The beautiful thing about being a bride of the twenty-teens is you can store your ideas and information digitally, and even get reminders to keep you on track.  After researching some of the most comprehensive wedding apps for the iPhone/iPad, these were the front runners we found!

1.  My Wedding:  ($3.99)
An amazing wedding planning app that keeps track of your "to do" list.  The beautiful thing about this app is that it comes pre-loaded with 166 To-Do Items (because let's be real, most of us have no idea where to start).  This pre-populated list allows you to get an idea of when you should set your budget and figure out who's contributing (8 months ahead), book your rehearsal dinner venue and menu (4-5 months ahead), meet with your DJ or band to discuss your playlist (6 weeks ahead) and more. Then customize the list to suit your wedding by deleting tasks that aren’t for you, and adding new ones you need to do. And stay on top of things and relaxed until the big day, as you check each task off your list.  Task categories include: Attire, Beauty, Budget, Catering, Ceremony, Florist, Gifts, Guests, Honeymoon, Music, Photo/Video, Rentals, Seating, Stationery, Transportation, Venues, Wedding Cake, Wedding Planner, and Other.  The app is only $3.99, and gives you a serious leg up on the planning process!

2.  Wedding Wire:  (free)
This app is another planning database, similar to the first.  It also allows you to manage your budget, guest list, and seating chart; it helps you search for vendors and get connected with them.  You can monitor you wedding registries and wedding website. You can stay up to date by reviewing your dashboard, which summarizes your budget usage, items checked off of your to-do list, and alerts you of the time-sensitive upcoming tasks.  Another great perk of this app is you are able to access it from your iPhone app, or from your home computer or laptop.  Among other options on here, you are able to create your own Inspiration Board, bookmark favorite links, and have over 100MB of storage for photos, songs, contracts & more!

3.  Wedding Dress Look Book:  (free)
This app is not an all-inclusive planning app, but it's a very helpful one designed by "the Knot".  It is designed to help you find the perfect dress, by considering your body type, your bra size and height (to figure what's flattering, what's available to you, etc).  It considers your personality, your wedding style, your best features, and problem areas, and then searches for gowns that will highlight your best features, cover your worst, and accomplish the look that best suits your personality!

4.  WeddMark (by Weddzilla):  (free)
This app is very practical and useful.  For many brides, it's far easier to find things you like and collect a barrage of photos and magazine cut-outs than to try to explain your idea upfront.  Even the brides who have their theme in mind from the beginning find things along the way that they would like to adapt and implement into their wedding or reception.  WeddMark allows you to snap pics for your idea book, leave quotes on what you want and vendors can comment back with their their pricing and style, AND you can share through twitter or facebook for feedback from those you love!  There's much less room for confusion when your family, friends and vendors (anyone who is playing a part in your wedding day) have a visual and not just a verbal explanation!

5.  WeddingScan:  ($0.99)
Wedding Scan is an intuitive wedding registry application that allows you to register for ANY item, at ANY store simply by scanning a product's barcode with the WeddingScan iPhone app. If a product doesn't have a barcode, WeddingScan allows you to take a picture of it and add a brief description.  It was developed to give engaged couples the freedom to pick what they really want, and not feel limited to what is in one store.  WeddingScan gives guests the option of purchasing the registered item from one of Amazon.com's numerous and trusted vendors and retail store partners, including Target and Macys, or buy the item later in the store it was registered.

There are many, many other apps that do similar things, but these seem to be some of the most extensive ones!  Have you found any other wedding apps you love?  Let us know!
