Presentation is Everything, but it doesn’t have to be exhausting!

I saw this today at cakeeventsblog.com, and loved the simplicity of it!  Why?  Because although the cake and cupcakes are fabulous, the rest of it is relatively simple and looks wonderful.  Again, why so exciting?  Because it means that for our smaller events (where we know hiring a planner isn’t practical), we can take things that are ordinary and use them the right way to make something extraordinary!

She used washi tape to make the little flags for cupcake toppers, and worked the same magic on the straws, and look what a huge difference it makes it creating the aesthetic she was going for.  A few printed labels and the Happy Birthday sign, and it all comes together!  It really IS the little things!

And then, the part that seals the deal.  She included mini donuts and displayed them well too!  Yes, mini donuts, the kind you sneak into your cart on days that you go to the grocery store hungry... or is that just me?  Anyway, just by taking them out of the packaging and placing them in some great glassware... VOILA!

It’s not that difficult to create a great little party!  Take note:  Presentation is EVERYTHING!
