Custom Is Our Middle Name!

IntriCutz is not just a laser-cut manufacturer; we also have CUSTOM design services!  We will create and produce a custom design for your client or laser cut a design file you send to us.  OR, if we already have design elements you like that you would like for us to change, we’re open to that too!  For example, one woman by the name of Anna Troia wanted to combine elements from a few of our designs to create a confirmation announcement:

"How about your ivy invitation with 1 dove on one side placed as
though an ivy is in beak, and on the other side a candle?”
And with that request we were able to create the invitation she had in mind!

If you already have a design, but want us to laser cut it, we have made that process as easy and cost-effective as we can for you!  We have an assessment fee of $20.00, where we evaluate whether or not your design can be used as is; if not, it allows us to make a more accurate quote.  This way you don’t pay a large custom fee just to find out it won’t work or will take more time (and cost more money) than you realized.
Here is a perfect example:

Custom design fees can sound like a fee we just tack on, but there’s a lot involved in the custom process!  Here’s our breakdown of it, so you can better understand:

STEP 1 - Designing and Drawing: We begin our drawing process figuring in the layout, sizing, spacing, alignment and text.  Turning an idea into a drawing that will be eventually produced in one or more colors by "cutting" paper is very different than just drawing a picture of what you are imagining.

STEP 2 - Laser Preparation: Because the lines of each design represent a laser cut, the lines have to be refined. As you can see in the picture, our drawings are made up of nodes (dots) that connect to make lines. Too many nodes or a slight difference in alignment can affect any line.  Most drawings can be auto-converted by our laser program, but some aren’t compatible and need to be adjusted manually (which adds time to the process).

STEP 3 - Preliminary Production: After the product has been drawn and prepared for laser, we produce it. As great as the design can look on a computer screen, issues may not appear until it has been produced on paper and assembled; so the first production serves as a troubleshooting process.

The staff at IntriCutz has several years of combined experience in the design and draw laser preparation and production process. We have put lots of work into that production process to refine the final product that ends up in your hand, to minimize the imperfections that often come with laser-cut products (scorching, yellowing, grid marks, etc).  Another benefit of the time and work of our experience is that we have become experts at cutting costs to make the process and product more affordable!

See?  We’re a great fit!  IntriCutz is the perfect avenue to bring dimension to your ideas or designs!  We look forward to making your idea into a laser-cut reality!
